Such material should be made available by the Sunday evening prior to the publication Thursday; if more detailed coverage is required (photographs and longer articles in the main body of the paper, for example) much earlier notice and direct contact with the Chronicle on 01472 204020 will be necessary.
New organ for St Mary's The instrument recently installed in St Mary's Church in Marshchapel is a fine example of the work of the Hull organ builders Forster and Andrews. Built in 1890, and first installed in Richmond Congregational Church, it has been in regular use for the last 50 years at Grove Hill Methodist Church in Middlesbrough. In addition to promising a huge improvement of sound quality and variety for all services, this new organ will offer far greater facility for, amongst other things, recitals, use in concerts, and opportunities for anyone wishing to learn the instrument. Further, it will contribute much to the appearance of St Mary's with a brighter and cleaner facade into the chancel and a hugely enhanced prospect of the organ chamber arch at the head of the north aisle. The work of installation was carried out by Henry Groves & Son Ltd. Organ Builders of Nottingham. Farmers market comes to Louth A new FARMERS and PRODUCE Market will be held in Louth on the second Friday of each month to complement the existing market and in addition to the already successful farmers markets held every fourth Wednesday. The markets started on January 12, 2007 and
are organised by East Lindsey District Council. They will offer a range of
healthy and traditional local produce, including meats, fresh locally
grown vegetables, bread and hot food to tempt shoppers. For further information about the market, contact the District Council on 08446 601111. TV food chef Rick Stein calls Louth "The finest little market town in Britain". ------------
